Mid-America Manufacturing Technology Center, University of Colorado at Boulder. Lead Project Manager under contract. November 1997 - Spring 1999. Led reestablishment of MAMTC operations in Colorado with the organization of the regional office. Trained a completely new staff of Field Engineers, Project Managers and administrative support. Directed the implementation of a central database system integrating all MAMTC-Colorado administrative and reporting functions.

Columbine Bus, Inc., Longmont, CO Co-founder, Incorporator & VP Operations. July 1996 - August 1997. Led the formation of the company and in winning a $11.7 million contract for advanced, hybrid-electric transit bus development and manufacturing. Wrote business plan and proposal. Arranged working alliance with major sub-contract coach manufacturer. Directed fund raising efforts including development of the Private Placement Memorandum, presentations to investors, and shareholder relations. Guided the furtherance of Statements of Work for sub-contract consultants.

Otivia, Inc., Longmont, CO Founder & President. October 1994 - August 1996. Developed business objectives and business plan for startup electric vehicle conversion company. Organized company for its pursuit of the EV-America program window of opportunity and developed tactical plan to convert several hundred gasoline fueled pickup trucks to electric. Acted as incorporator, prepared bylaws and supervised all G&A functions. Prepared winning proposal and organized the US Electricar Hybrid Bus Group for the development and manufacturing of hybrid-electric buses.

Eagle Engineering, Inc., Boulder, CO President and Owner. August 1990 - June 1994. Eagle Engineering performed contract R & D specializing in product development, electronics and mechanics. Managed multi-disciplinary teams on projects that included video products, pneumatic devices, medical instruments, surgical tools, ultra thin trace PCB designs and electric vehicle accessories and designs. Teams included research scientists, mechanical designers, industrial designers, electronic engineers, and CAD operators. Managed proposal preparations, contract negotiations and client interfacing.

Johnson Engineering, Inc., Boulder, CO Project Manager and Lab Facilities Manager May 1989 - July 1990. Managed optical scanner illumination project, prototype development and testing for zeolite oxygen concentrator used as portable medical oxygen source, and developed Space Shuttle trash compactor test module and flight components. Advanced organizational groundwork for space flight qualified quadrapol mass spectrometer project. Managed laboratory facilities.

Turbulence Prediction Systems, Boulder, CO Mechanical Engineering Manager. August 1987 - March 1989. Managed mechanical engineering and design activities for an airborne infrared wind shear warning system. Managed department activities including packaging, mechanisms, PCB design, CAD and documentation control.

Technical Resource Center, Inc., Boulder, CO Founder and President. May 1985 - August 1987. Formed company for the development of a high-speed videocassette tape duplication system. Filed US patent for multi-channel, multi-head helical scan recording system that maintained read/write compatibility with conventional tape systems.

Vintage Technologies, Inc., Boulder, CO Founder and President. June 1984 - September 1985. Invented single wheeled bicycle trailer for hauling cargo during touring and mountain biking. Managed pre-production manufacturing run.

IBIS Systems, Inc., Boulder, CO Engineer/Project Leader. February 1982 - September 1983. Lead the environmental and reliability testing of the IBIS 5880 disk drive controller. Conducted research, wrote procedures for and supervised testing. Designed and drafted the power system enclosures and cabling for the 5880.
